take a look around, look what i found.

i worked a twelve hour day yesterday. no, that's not normal. i did develop a headache towards the end. i could explain, but i don't want to bore you...and honestly, i haven't the energy.

this is part of the madness that was what my day looked liked. lots of coffee and water to hand to help me push through. and my lip balm.

these new slipper boots brought much comfort even though my colleagues laughed at me as i ran about the office. i work with some pretty humourous people. it's awesome. i'm a big fan of having fun in the workplace.

so, today was courtday and i was done by early afternoon. so, i took the rest of the afternoon off. my headache came back.

i'm also desperate for a hair cut.

i've haven't a clue of any reputable hair salons in the area.

so, i did something reckless.

i saw the first salon off the high street, opened the door and said to the lady, hey, i need a haircut...like, now. can you help me?

no joke. the salon was chic. warm lighting. bold, deep colours. it smelled nice. and, it was clean. sold.

totally worth the money, as i'm a working girl now. i had the top stylist to myself. we consulted. she took me to the back room and washed my hair.

she massaged...my skull.

i almost fell asleep. i'm not big on massages...but a head massage? someone to play with my hair? sign. me. up. so incredibly relaxing and i've come to the conclusion that heaven will be made up of many good things, including someone available to me (on demand), to play with my hair.

i also like having my hair blown dry too. i think it has something to do with a combination of the hair brush with the warm air of the hair dryer.

geez. as if i've dedicated a blog post to this. if you're bored, put your hand up.

it's funny. i like how i waltz in, demand a haircut and then proceed to set-up camp by throwing my stuff all over the place. my parents would argue that not much has changed. aha. hey, i tip well. and, the stylist and i bonded over canada. she used to live there. being canadian in this country, will get you everywhere. well, that's a bit of an exaggeration.

you're funny. it's nothing drastic...just a trim and she thinned out the fringe, and gave me some more layers all around. a good quality hair cut. it was a very good experience given i had no idea what i was walking into because i had literally just stepped off the street.
