Do keys in England really look like that? How Cool!
they sure do! 'castle keys' i call them. my building was built in the 1700s...now, i'm not suggesting that's how old the lock system is..but, everything's old to an extent in england. one of its many charms. it is pretty sweet.
ikea...purchasing furniture? does this mean it's long term?!
Can you rent a carpet cleaning machine from a grocery store or something? Maybe that's something we can do when we come...clean the carpets. But then again, maybe you can do that BEFORE we come!
i truly don't GET the whole english obsession with carpets in areas where for cleanliness there should be no carpets. It baffles me. I'm doing the apartment search thing now too.... hmmmmm, not easy.
