i'm watching this and developing a little wee crush on mr. hanks right now. just witnessed the sweetest scene ever with some serious man/dog bonding. i love how much he talks to the dog. he's always talking to the dog. it's awesome.

you know who also talks to things...karl. this particular thing happens to be a baby. a baby that doesn't blink:
karl - it's freaking me out a bit because it doesn't blink...if something doesn't blink it's like it's evil, cuz blinking just makes something look a bit more friendly, don't it? i just stood there talking to it, just telling it little stories about anything...it's lying there looking up at me.
ricky - why are you telling it stories?
karl - cuz it likes it. but it's just weird how like then i'll forget the story because i'm looking at it and it's not blinking and 10 minutes it's still not blinking so then i forget the story and just walk away...it's not bothered.
did you just feel your iq drop? cuz that's normal. the sad thing is...i can completely visualise the entire scenario in my head. karl and i have more in common than i think i choose to admit. oh no.
and, in closing...HOW IS TOMORROW FRIDAY???!?! already? geez.
