kick drum on the basement floor.

this is the second time this has happened to me. the first time, a nice neighbourly man helped push me out. this time? no nice neighbourly man was to be found. this damsel had to orchestrate her own rescue. it occurs more often than you would think. i can make things happen. i have to.

half pint doesn't do well in the snow. in fact, he crumbles. caves under pressure. usually only in parking lots, when there's a little incline. so delicate he is. like how i've personified my car?

so yesterday's distress, i've managed to chalk up to a few things: half pint doesn't weigh enough and his set of tires suck. i should clarify, they're good tires, just not snow tires. i desperately want snow tires. i miss them. amos had snow tires in the winter and what a difference.

so, i went out for the day...it snowed overnight. it was snowing when i left the estate too. but, i had errands to run. i came home and parked my car...reversed too far and went over the dip where the pavement meets the grass. grrr.

first gear, clutch, gas...tires start spinning. i tried a few more times. started digging a hole in the ground. of course. i'm ticked off now. i rip out all my car mats. i slam my door. i get on my hands and knees and start digging the earth. i slot in the car mats under each tire and try again. and try again. and again. and again.

i started to smell rubber i was revving the accelerator so hard. after a few more tries and some words i'd rather not repeat, we won.

car mats. they'll sort you in ways you never knew.

i've worked hard today. and i just did my nails last night.

looks a bit of a car accident crime scene. oh well. good story to tell the grandkids.
