hayley & her seven sisters.

from the blog bank.

*********

can't remember which day it was, but i went on a four mile hike like, three weeks ago, or was it the week before? geez, i'm soooo busy these days i just can't keep track. this plethora of blog posts is gonna slow down BIG time once i start work on monday. i hope you know that. now i can start getting anxious about working again. i have a feeling this is going to be the start of another challenging and humbling experience. whatever, it's all character growth. bring it, God. i can take it. (with Your help, of course and i am so grateful). but, i know i've been cranking 'em out lately...but, i guess i have a lot say these days...or at least i think i have a lot to say and maybe you're all just bored.

so, my walk started off in someone's sheep pasture. the little public footpath sign told me it was alright though. i can't help but feel like i'm trespassing when these signs tell me to go through someone's property. maybe that's the canadian-ness in me. territorial? someone's gonna come out with a shotgun and question me? and because i'm canadian, they'll look at me like i have four heads when i open my mouth and then they'll chase me off their land? can't decide.

the hills are called the south downs. so much to see and explore in this area.

gah. i know. so freakin' beautiful.

oh, hello there. how are you? you come here often?

you know i played with this one in iphoto.

almost there...the plan was to walk down to the beach and have lunch and then walk uphill to the lighthouse.

my attempt at a self-timer photo of me doing cartwheels. i don't think i was all that successful. and by successful, i mean the timing. cartwheels are still a piece of cake. even the one-armed cartwheel too. next time you see me, ask...and i'll show you. i still remember that one canada day bbq at my grandparents where i did one hundred cartwheels in the backyard. i was, what? eight? and i was very dizzy. i'm sure my grandma thought i was nuts, but it kept me occupied waiting for the fireworks to start.

seven sisters this way...

seven sisters that way...

anyone getting sick of this hat yet? you can answer, but i'm not bothered.

rubbish. that's english talk for, garbage.

this stuff was fun to play with. like chalky clay.

almost at the lighthouse.

lighthouse!

and then i walked all the way back. even past this guy.
