echoes and silence, patience and grace.

castles. i know i visit a lot of them. i love this country, despite the whole fighting-for-a-place-at-the-watering-hole. sometimes i can't believe i get to live here and do the things i get to do. there are so many places to visit and things to see. i haven't even made it to the northeast part of the country yet. i'm sensing a road trip. i can't help it, i love old stuff. stuff in ruins. it blows my mind.

and, i take way too many pictures. but, that's nothing new.

saturday i ventured almost all the way into kent to visit bodiam castle. it was built by some solider who came home from war filthy rich, so he was loaded enough to buy the land and build a really big house...with a moat and a few ponds for his family. this building dates back to 1385.

i know. don't even get me started.

self-timer goof alert number one.

these guys were all over the place. part of the water was turning to ice and i liked watching the ducks trying to walk across and i laughed out loud when they slipped. is that mean? i'm not sure. it was super cute though.

this country sometimes feels like a freakin' film set.

inside the courtyard. i saw santa too. SANTA.....i know him!

vertigo.

self-timer goof alert number two.

ohforgoodnesssakes. come on. i've had enough.

you have no idea how exciting sheep in pasture gets me. hello sheepies! hello sheepies! hello hello hello.

peace out.

I don't know many people that would hike around castles in a skirt except you......that's why I love you.

Hey Hayles, Brady's great. Crawling, crawling, crawling and pulling himself up on everything. He stood at his exersaucer for 15 minutes today....just because he can.
