hey, it's me again. i know what you're thinking...geez, another blog update? what have i done to deserve such quick and colourful webpages? this is awesome. it's like i'm there...with hayles while she's living in england. up to the minute news about all her unemployed adventures. wow. this is amazing.
if you weren't thinking that...then it's okay.
i understand.
this post is all about my surrogate family. my other family lives in the west midlands...shout out to cousin, laura...aiya. and then the other-other family lives in canada...yo bearpops and mom, what up?
rachel's family lives close by. real close by. we see them on the weekends. rachel first invited me one saturday afternoon back in april to meet her family and hang out for the day.
i remember that day. we played cricket on the green and ate kentucky fried chicken by the river. slowly but surely they have welcomed me in like an honourary member of their fam damly. we go shopping. we go out for dinner. we watch tv. we take dave the pug for walks too.
oh look. here comes the little guy now. his ears must have been burning.
this is charlie. he's fun. he told rachel and i last weekend, "you two look pretty" when we all went out for dinner. i like charlie. charlie likes dave.
charlie is also a wealth of factoids. it was this very walk with dave that he told me "hayley, remember you're never more than four feet away from a rat". i love this kid.
rachel's family think i've been good for rachel...and i told them they've been good for me. they invited me to spend christmas with them!!!!!! if i wasn't going to the west midlands for christmas with my other family...i would have said yes. i am so blessed to have met rachel and her family. i have never felt so welcomed and included. i pray for God to in turn bless them they way He has blessed me with them. i had no clue when i moved to this country that i would encounter such warmth and oh, what is this feeling called? oh yeah, comfort.
