monday.

check out this amazing local lettuce i bought from the green grocers down the street this morning. it's a work of art, garden art.

but this isn't a blog about vegetables. it's about our road trip to london this afternoon to see writer/actor/comedian/radio personality/director, stephen merchant...whom-i-have-a-bit-of-a-school-girl-crush-on.

london outfit. new jacket via debenhams. it-was-on-sale, mom. i can hear you an ocean away. besides, it locks and loads the girls quite well.

tube strike today. so rachel and i decided to drive into the city. here's some pics enroute.

zucchini bread.

freshly painted nails.

scenery.

the beamer has sixth gear. it's kinda awesome.

really? wow. i had no idea.

hi/bye carol, hannah and dave! next time we'll pop in!

we avoided the congestion charge. helloooo london!

traffic traffic traffic.

zoning out.

oooo,  a saab!

jacksons lane theatre where we saw a work in progress.

pre-show nibbles at the winchester pub on archway road. olives + salt. rachel doesn't like olives. so we know what that means. yes, i ate them all.

my very quick and unprepared shot of the stage, pre-merchant.

i left tickled pink and with a perma-smile. i had seen mr. merchant and his beard, live, in the flesh. and, i'm convinced he could read the phone book and everything would be okay. bye.
