friday

friday started off as any normal day - minus the coffee. i've noticed i've been getting really dizzy when i stand up and my parents said it might be low blood pressure. so, i did what any normal person-of-the-twenty-first-century would do and googled it. google says it could be an iron deficiency. then i started looking at all the foods i eat and realised, i don't eat nearly enough red meat, i drink way too much coffee (prevents any iron-based foods you consume from being absorbed) and...there were a few other things...but, i can't remember now.

so, i gave up coffee cold turkey and walked a mile into town to do some banking and stop at the chemist to pick up some iron vitamins.

but, before all that...i visited the green grocer across the street to buy some eggs, lemons, garlic and onions. i love the green grocer. he's a friendly guy who lets me babble away to him about my culinary ideas. sometimes when i open my mouth and talk in this country i swear the english look at me like i have four heads. it's a humbling experience.

by two o'clock i had a raging headache. but, i had a floral hippie wreath to make.

i watched part one of michael wood's story of england on bbc four while i was being crafty. my expression represents the pain in my head. i then took a tylenol.

lemon, garlic and rosemary roast chicken for dinner. jealous?
