welcome to my weekend. i think i ate my body weight in carbs within a forty-eight hour time period.
my aunt and cousin paid me and my little high street flat a visit. here's something funny for you canadians. my aunt and cousin left the west midlands at five forty-five that morning and arrived on my doorstep at twelve noon. that's a six hour journey. i repeat...six hours. this is a four hour journey, tops.
six. hours.
they stopped in oxford for over an hour's rest.
i don't mean to make an example of my lovely aunt and cousin, because i love them dearly, but the english are so high maintenance when it comes to long-distance driving. and by long-distance driving i'm talkin' anything requiring two hours of travel or more.
don't worry aunty and cousin...it's not you, it's your entire country that's helped me to arrive at this realisation. conclusion - the english would not survive canada.
and now, onto the pictures where you will salivate in five, four, three, two...one.
steak and guinness pie. i thought it was quite funny how the grocery store wouldn't allow me to buy just one tallboy of guinness...i had to buy the four pack. how...whatsthewordohyeah, inconvenient.
BEACH.
HOW SWEET.
MORE CARBS. ok, i'll stop shouting now. the green stuff is mushy peas and one has to be in the mood to consume them.
my aunt and cousin. they make the beach look good.
come back and visit again, please.
