the more i think about it, the more it makes sense. the more we let in, the more He reveals. the more we learn from our mistakes. the more we humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness. whether or not someone takes us up on it. it’s the peace we feel afterwards. that’s His love. it’s the best type of homecoming we could ever imagine.
sometimes i think God doesn’t care about the stuff in between. well, i know He does care, but it’s different. He’s just happy once we’ve finally arrived…when we’ve finally said, more of You and less of me, Lord.
i am also thankful for His protection and that some things can end as quickly as they start. recently, i think i've sabotaged something, well...i know i have. but, i think it was for the best anyway. it wasn’t based in love. or maybe i was trying to walk that out and i got confused along the way. i was angry. i was just as guilty and i recognise the hypocrisy here. maybe that’s it. but, i believe in forgiveness. maybe i won’t ever know and i’m quite comfortable letting it go.
i’ve been thinking about the concept of love lately. i’m not talking about the romantic love. i'm talking about love love. the type of love where you want the best for someone. the type of love where you try and walk out kindness and support. the edifying type of love. the building someone up type of love. encouraging them. helping them to actualise the potential of this thing called life. i want to keep walking that out. i want to keep trying…because the Lord is faithful. He is forever faithful to us.
