day two highlights.
morning started with hot coffee and i say hot coffee because it reminds me of the film, martian child with mr. cusack and amanda peet and the scene where they take the kid (john's character who was planning to adopt this kid) to play baseball and john (ohmygosh, i heart john in this film so much my ovaries melt) was pitching to the kid and they were trying to help him get the timing of the ball to the swing of the bat right...and john says, hot coffee to initiate him to swing. this film satisfies me on a psychology-level. i love how much john talks to this kid.
so yeah, as i was saying lots of coffee and...banana and blueberry pancakes with canadian maple syrup. of course.
off to the historic fish market town of hastings to see a few churches, the seaside and the fisherman's museum.
this ain't no church tho.
looooove the tudor style. sometimes i feel like this country is make-believe it's so old. canada is so young compared to this place. maybe that's why i love england so much. that's one of the reasons i think i'm here.
rachel traded in the beamer for this. good luck shifting, girlfriend. aha. personally, i think it's a step-down. shh. don't tell.
this is the fish market area. we were looking for the fisherman's museum. funny story. we were about to walk underneath these flying gulls when we kept hearing splat, splat, splat on the pavement. we looked at each other and said, gross. there was also a dead gull on the road. of course i took a picture, but thought that might be kinda morbid so i stopped myself from posting it. i'll leave you with a mental imagine instead.
this was mother-of-an-anchor.
the fisherman's museum. this building used to be a church. this boat wasn't dismantled to fit inside this church. they removed a wall to bring it inside, which i thought was kinda cool on a respect-level.
here's my boyfriend.
no, there's my boyfriend.
hi boyfriend. you seem to be covered in mussel-barnacle-thingies, but i'm choosing to overlook that.
my worst nightmare. i hate eels. snakes. water snakes. hate 'em all.
rachel's boyfriend. aha.
bye hastings.
hello, guinness. you all know what this means, don't you? steakandguinnesspietime. liz - i've done you proud this time, right?
i love these countertops. i've always wanted wooden countertops.
punch & judy puzzle. we are so, so exciting.
no words can describe how amazing this is.
this just keeps getting better...
and better...
and...better. you know what's awesome after steak & guinness pie? a cigar. i kid you not.

true, true, sarah. however. my belgium boyfriend made wine...or he sold wine...basically the point i'm trying to make is that he was hooked up with a lot of wine...and that was the bit i drew me to him. ahahaha. so funny. that was a fun trip.
